Bru Na Boinne
Kicking off in Osaka, Japan in 1997, Bru na Boinne is the brainchild of designers Masahiro Tsuji and Ms. Naoko Tokuda. Taking a typically fresh, Japanese squint at casual wear, the collections play with the conventions of shirts, trousers and jacketing, while keeping things resolutely wearable. Expect playful garment construction and unusual adaptations around the norm. You can also expect colour, print and appliqué - Bru na Boinne is not a home for the shy and retiring. Each season offers up significant statement pieces which should come with an instruction manual - we’re talking serious heat, only for the headstrong kit. If you feel you’ve got what it takes, get involved and prepare to be centre of attention.
