A Question of Eagles
The charm of the imprecise. The allure of the earthy. Admiring the goods created by LA potters A Question of Eagles, it’s clear there’s a powerful sense of appreciation for the natural world, and how simple human processes can respectfully work within it. Husband-and-wife team Melissa Tolar and Jonathan Ballak are behind the brand and have drawn inspiration from their personal travels through Illinois, Portland, Bend, Eugene and upstate New York, before settling in Los Angeles.
The studio pottery of the 60's and 70’s is also a strong influence on their work. The idea is that the pieces are considered heirloom worthy by their owners; pieces to live with, then pass on allowing others to add to the story.
Alpha Shadows is proud to offer a selection of planters, vases and tumblers by A Question of Eagles. These are beautiful pieces, entirely handmade using natural raw clay and lead-free glazing. Unquestionably modern, yet born from a love of the past, they’re just waiting for you to become part of their history.
